Our
Story

Maeco of Oregon was founded in 1995, originally for the purpose of manufacturing on-wheel pressure gauges for over-the-road trucks. As the company grew, customers asked Maeco if they could source specialty items from overseas. This led to Maeco specializing in the fluid component industry.

However, Maeco is not your ordinary distributor. In fact, we are not a distributor at all. We specialize in importing and prototyping industrial and agricultural components.

Prototype
Components

We can help with prototype components. Many times a prefabricated component is unsatisfactory, and only a customized solution will do. We have developed a history of working with excellent companies that can produce the perfect component to your specifications for any industry. Let Maeco assist you in producing a customized component from your need-based idea to a working prototype.

Competitive
Pricing

Are you interested in reducing your current costs? Let our experts help. Maeco specializes in locating the parts you need at competitive market value. Our unique business model allows us to offer factory to customer pricing. We deliver your products stateside on time and with no surprises. Your quoted delivery cost reflects the net cost of the product including ocean freight, U.S. Customs fees, import fees, etc.

Mike Hatley

Founder & Owner

We believe in meeting our client’s needs by providing quality components at competitive pricing,” says the small business owner and entrepreneur Mike Hatley.

Founded in 1995, Maeco of Oregon is a family owned and operated business. Maeco is an industrial and agricultural import company for all of your component needs.

Mike brings his personal values into his family business. “When you treat your clients and vendors with respect and integrity, you build confidence and trust automatically. It seems to work,” he says matter-of-factly.

Maeco’s offices are located in the small town of Boring, Oregon; approximately 30 miles southeast of Portland, in the foothills of the scenic Mount Hood region. This area offers a year-round playground of activities that he enjoys with his family; married since 1970, his daughter Amy Hardesty (who joined the company in 2011), and her husband John. And of course Mike’s grandchildren, the love of his life.

Amy Hardesty

Operations

Amy has been working exclusively with Maeco since 2011. Her specialty is bringing that something extra to the business, to the client, as well as the vendors they work with.

“I feel I bring value to our business. Meaning, I want to make sure each experience is the best it can be; whether it’s exceeding a client’s expectations, building relationships with our vendors, or streamlining an office procedure. I think it fits well with our business vision as a whole,” says Amy.

One of the ways Amy fulfills her value mission is through her professional expertise, which allows her to meet the needs of Maeco’s clients by matching them to the precise vendor, providing win-win solutions.

Even though Maeco is a family owned business and they work closely, one of Amy’s favorite things to do is to get the family together; her husband John of eight years and their three children, to enjoy a family picnic. “I feel blessed to work in our family business, I can’t see myself anywhere but here!” she states.
